The Indian Metal Building Forum (IMBF) was established to bring together the people who design, fabricate, erect, inspect, specify and study metal buildings in India — and to give them a shared, independent place to raise the standard of the work.
India's metal building sector is in a period of real expansion. Warehousing and logistics parks, cold storage, manufacturing plants, data centres, airport and infrastructure works, poultry and agricultural buildings, solar mounting structures and retail facilities are all being built in steel, at a pace and scale the country has not seen before. Steel construction is faster, more predictable and more recoverable at end of life than the alternatives, and Indian owners are increasingly choosing it on merit.
